The Sing-Off Season 3 Episode 1 Premiere

At the premiere of season 3, eight of the 16 competing a cappella group perform as the competition starts. Sara Bareilles joins Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman on the panel of judges.

The Sing-Off is an American television singing contest with a cappella group. It premiered on NBC on December 14, 2009, and is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
Is hosted by Nick Lachey (formerly of the band 98 Degrees), with the judges of Ben Folds, Shawn Stockman (of R & B vocal group Boyz II Men), and originally Nicole Scherzinger, later replaced by Sara Bareilles. The music program staff all come from the community a cappella: Deke Sharon, Bill Hare, Ed Boyer and Ben Bram.
A cappella groups in the United States, including Puerto Rico, are chosen by audition and advanced in the competition on the basis of eliminations until the final judges, and winners will be determined by viewer votes.
The program has had several collaborations with popular artists like Bobby McFerrin, Natasha Bedingfield, Jay Sean, Smokey Robinson, Neil Diamond, Boyz II Men and Sara Bareilles.
