NATO says it will continue to enforce the mandate of Libya

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - NATO said Sunday he will continue to enforce the UN mandate to protect civilians in Libya, after the rebels made their way into the capital, Tripoli, Muammar Gaddafi to force from power.
"What we keep doing is continuing to enforce the UN mandate we have, which is to protect civilians," said NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu.
"All parties in this conflict have a clear responsibility to protect civilians ... If we see that there's more (attempts) to attack civilians, we will continue to enforce the mandate."
NATO carried out air strikes in Libya from late March to meet a United Nations mandate calling for military action to protect civilians in the conflict in Libya.
