A great episode of 30 Rock, that made us (and Liz) finally understand what is needed for a relationship with your exact copy to hold. And while Liz is testing this in the sky, with her pilot boyfriend (Matt Damon, brilliant in this role and uniform), Jack and Avery are trying a romantic vacation in Canada, which turns into a nightmare once they realize the birth is coming soon and their daughter is goingto be born a Canadian.
Tracy’s line was less funny, and seemed to be there just as a glue. Due to the actor, Tracy Morgan, medical condition, he will appear less in the next few episodes, and it is not clear what will happen later in the season.
I liked to see the better parts of the show happening outside, and in different locations. This is asign for me that the characters function, and that the story is not limited to any specific set-up. Take Jack and Liz anywhere – the jokes are in them.
It was a strong episode mostly (if you forget most of the scenes with Tracy and Kenneth): in the sky with Liz, Carol (Damon) and the movie Legends of the Guardians, and in Canada with Jack, Avery and the meth lab. Best jokes of this episodes: Carol pushes the ‘seat belt’ button, and Jack realizes the Canadian health care wouldn’t take his money.
“That’s what it takes. Somebody needs to be willing to quit”, Liz understands the real meaning of the double-edged sword. It’s not going to be her.
With the TGS staff afraid Liz will become a spinster, Jenna tries to find love for her. Jack's lack of sleep puts him at a disadvantage when negotiating. Pete and Frank form a band.
